Celebrating my birthday in Sydney

The 3rd of Feb. is my birthday and what a great day it was! On the 2nd my parents arrived in Sydney and so we got to celebrate my birthday together. Of course that was the greatest gift already!

I had an amazing breakfast at their hotel, the waiters even made me a personalized stack of pancakes, they stayed at the Amora Jamison hotel which is right in the middle of the city centre and holy moly what a gorgeous hotel! Definitely a tip for those who’re having troubles deciding.

I decided I wanted to spend the day in Taronga Zoo. Every Sunday they’re on Belgian television so we needed to check it out for ourselves. We jumped on a ferry (one tip to Taronga goers; take the ferry, you can just use your Opal card and you’re seeing the exact same things as on the more expensive harbour cruises) and headed to this beautiful place, I even got in for 1$ because it was my birthday! I received a badge that counted as my entry ticket with a monkey that said ‘IT’S MY BIRTHDAY TOO’ which inclined that every staff member wished my a happy one upon seeing me, I didn’t hate that.

Unfortunately it started raining quite a bit but we still had a lovely time in the zoo. It’s a zoo with a view, did you know that? Especially when being amongst the giraffes you see on the background Sydney’s skyline, not too bad! Afterwards we enjoyed an amazing dinner at Café Sydney, a gorgeous restaurant with a splendid view over Sydney’s harbour. The food was perfect, yet pricey so recommended for special occasions or rich people only 🙂

But I absolutely loved it! The fact that I got to open a bunch of presents from family and friends, that my mom brought with her, obviously helped as well.

After that we were in a bit of a rush to head back to the caravan park, pack up all our stuff as the next day we were embarking our cruise ship!

EXCIIIIIITING!
